Where to Get Narcan

Narcan kits are available for pickup at the Buffalo County Department of Health and Human Services. Individuals can walk in and request Narcan at the front desk on the 3rd floor of the courthouse located at 407 South Second Street, Alma, WI.

Office hours are Monday–Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. When requested, staff can provide a Narcan kit along with instructions for its use.

Narcan can also be requested by calling 608-685-4412 and asking to speak with the Public Health Educator to arrange a time for pickup.

Training & Education

Training on how to recognize and respond to an overdose, including proper Narcan administration, is available upon request. Individuals or groups can call 608-685-4412 and ask to speak with the Public Health Educator to schedule a training. The Public Health Educator is able to travel and provide training at your location, making it accessible for both individuals and community or organizational groups.

Who Is This For?

Narcan is recommended for anyone who may know someone at risk of overdose, including friends, family members, caregivers, and community members. It is also appropriate for individuals who simply want to be prepared to respond in an emergency situation.
