The office of the Clerk of Circuit Court is established by Wisconsin State Constitution. The Clerk maintains records of all court cases filed with the court, keeps a record of court proceedings, and collects various fees, fines and forfeitures ordered by the court. The Clerk of Circuit Court is also responsible for managing the court’s jury system.
Information on E-Filing
The Clerk of Courts office requires attorneys and high-volume filing agents with cases in Wisconsin to eFile any documents and new cases. eFiling will continue to be voluntary for self-represented litigants. See Wis. Stats. 801.18 for additional details about mandatory eFiling.Â

Copy Fee Policy
The cost of printed documents is $1.25/page. If the record is NOT scanned, you will request the file from counter staff who will pull the file for your viewing. If you require copies, a clerk will make the copies for you at the statutory rate of $1.25/page. We can certify copies for an additional $5/case number [See Wis. Stats. 814.61(10)(a)].

Â Our office does provide some forms, written instructions and common, routinely employed court procedures to assist court users. Â Court staff shall remain impartial and may not provide or withhold assistance for the purpose of giving one party advantage over another. (From Supreme Court Rule 70.41)
