General Information

  • Process and record real estate documents authorized by law submitted via e-recording, by mail or in-person by endorsing upon each document the day and time of recording.
  • Collect recording, copy and transfer fees and submit appropriate monies to various state and county offices.
  • Index and image recorded documents for easy access to and provide safe archival storage.
  • Provide convenient access to these public records.
  • Provide certified and non-certified copies of public records to any person upon request.
  • Accept and register all deaths occurring within the county and marriages occurring within the state.
  • Process and issue vital records requests (birth, death, marriage, divorce and domestic partnership records).
  • Record and permanently store military discharge records for our military veterans.
  • Implement statutory changes and system modernizations to maintain compliance.
