The Child Support Agency is responsible for the location of absent parents, establishing a legal obligation for child support, adjudication of paternity for non-marital children, monitoring payment activities, enforcement of support obligations, and maintaining financial case records related to child support orders. Our agency does not assist in child custody or child placement issues.

Obtaining Services
A completed application form is required to obtain services from Buffalo County Child Support. The applications can be found by using Quick Links “Wisconsin Child Support Program”.
Physical Placement and Custody
Issues regarding physical placement and custody are not services provided by the Child Support Agency.
Employment/Career Counseling and Services
Effective March 1, 2024, Buffalo-Pepin County Child Support Agencies will charge a $25.00 fee for the following NIVD services:
- Reconciliation of Account Records with Certification of Arrears: $25 each year certified.
- Printed Payment History: $25 per request.
- Certified Copy of Payment History: $25 for each year certified.
- Creating and Sending Income Withholding Order: $25 per order sent.
- Crediting an Account for Direct Payments: $25 per request.
(NIVD fees are payable directly to the Child Support Agency associated with your case. Do not make payment through WI SCTF.)
