The mission of Buffalo County DHHS is to empower individuals, families, and communities to live well by preventing disease, protecting health and assuring safety while encouraging independence.

- To report abuse and neglect of a child, vulnerable adult or elder, during business hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday – Thursday or Friday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, (excluding holidays) please call the Department of Health and Human Services at (608) 685-4412 and ask to speak with the Intake Worker.
- To report abuse or neglect of a child, vulnerable adult or elder, after hours, weekend and holidays please call the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office at (608) 685-4433.
