Property Tax Payments
First half is due January 31st to the Municipal Treasurer. Follow this link for a list of Municipal Treasurers and addresses.
Second half is due July 31st to the County Treasurer. Make checks payable to Buffalo County Treasurer and mail to PO Box 28, Alma, WI 54610.
Credit Card or E-Check Payments
You can now pay your Buffalo County property taxes with:
- Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover credit card.
There are fees for using this service:
- $1.50 for an e-check;
- $3.95 for debit card payment;
- 2.39% for credit card payment.
The system will:
- Tell you the total of your payment, including the fee;
- Obtain approval of the charge;
- Provide you with a confirmation number (be sure to record this number);
- Email you a receipt if email address is entered properly;
- Takes a few days before payment hits the bank / payment will post once funds are received.
When searching, less is better. You will need the following to make a payment:
- Payment source
- Billing address for the payment source
- Phone number
- Email Address
***Note: Payments can be made under one transaction for multiple tax parcels.***
