Buffalo County Recycling Brochure. This brochure will answer many of your questions regarding Buffalo County’s Single-Stream program regarding what is recyclable, where the recycling centers are to take them to, and the costs associated with certain items.  Click on the link above for more information. 

Electronics Recycling Program  Electronics may be taken to the City of Mondovi Recycling Center or 

BBC&M Recycling Center for recycling/disposal. Click on the link above for pricing details by site and 

information on electronics that are accepted.

  

Unacceptable (Non-Recyclable) Items Disposal    Items that are not recyclable and/or difficult to dispose of are accepted at the City of Mondovi Recycling Center, BBC&M Recycling Center and Town of Nelson site only. Click on the link above for pricing details by site and information on items that are accepted. Demolition Materials (Construction/Building Materials Waste)  Disposal is available at BBC & M Recycling Center in Cochrane and the City of Mondovi Recycling site.  The Town and Village of Nelson do not accept demolition material.  Prices may vary, please contact site for cost.

Ag & Household Hazardous Waste 

 

Buffalo County holds a “Clean Sweep” event every two years, with the next one anticipated in 2025. These clean sweeps are for Ag and Household Hazardous Waste. Residents and farmers in Buffalo County can bring their materials to the collection site at no cost.

 

La Crosse County has a Hazardous Materials Facility that is open year-round and available for Buffalo County residents to use. Fees apply, their information is listed below.
